little love birds

Hello, today I have another valentine's day card to share. I decided to pull out my old Little bitty birds stamp set and this is what ended up. Sorry about the harsh lighting this was a after work stamping session which meant it was too dark for a good picture.

Here is a close up of Mr. and Mrs. Bitty.

Project life 2013 week 2

I finally had enough light to get Week 2 photographed.  I still haven't be able to figure out how to not have glare. It feels good to have week 2 in the book but I do still need to add the calendar.

Here is the left side. I love that I was able to document that Z read all of the wimpy kid books in a year. I'm so proud of him and his joy of reading.

Here is the right side.

My favorite photo from the week that has all three of my boys. I tried to get a picture of all three of them on the mattresses but as soon as I would get in position to take a picture on of the would be getting up.  So I was really lucky to get a couple of shots but this one is my favorite with the boys playing in the background.

There was a question last week about the text on the photos.  I have been using Ali Edwards brushes in Photoshop. They have made this project super easy.

happy birthday kitty style

I want to say Happy Birthday to my sister.  I needed to send her a card so I did the usually and pulled out all of my birthday cards and laid them out for Z to pick a card for his aunt.  As he looked at all of the choices he asked if I had a cat stamp because aunt Mojo would love a card with cats on it.  So after thinking about it, I did have a cat.  So here is what I made for my cat loving sister.

Here is a close up of the pretty kitty.

Congrats

Happy Monday all. Today I have a Congrats card I made for my son's teacher.  I've had the Paper Smooches zoo crew stamp set for almost a year and not used it, so it was high time to get inked.

Project Life 2013 week 1

Well, after following Cathy Zielske and watching her inspiring video on her Project life 2012 experience I decided to jump on to the Project Life bandwagon for 2013. I didn't want to say anything on the blog since it was December when I decided to do this and I have a knack for big ideas and not following through.  So for the first two weeks I was taking pictures and keeping notes but still intimidated by the whole process but finally I jumped in and you know what, it wasn't so bad.  Now I do have some catching up to do but I am feeling really good about this project.

So here is my week 1 to share.  Sorry about the glare I am still trying to figure out how to photograph these pages.

Here is a close up the left side.

I am so happy to have a place to remember the things the boys say this year that make me giggle. I hope that Z's quote doesn't offend, but he was completely serious when asking about Micheal Jackson when we were watching old clips from the Jackson 5.

Here is the right side.

My favorite picture from week one has to be Captain Hook stuck in the blow hole of the whale, I can just hear him yelling Mr. SMEEEEEE.

It feels one good to have week one in the book. And for only being five weeks into the project I can tell you my picture count for this year is going to be much higher.  Lets just say that each year when I made the Christmas calendars for the grandparents January is slim pickins for pictures but that is not going to be the case this year.
