Baby Week Day 5

Sorry this is a little bit late today time got away for me today. Since this is Friday we have come to the last installment of baby week.

 

For the last baby card stepped out side of my monotone solid box a bit. I am a bit afraid to mix patterns and ending up with something that looks crazy after working so hard on it.  But in the end I think this card works.  It helps that I used papers that  are from the same line, October Afternoon's 9 to 5 line.

Baby Week day 4

Today I have a quick share. Over the weekend working with the two baby sets I have to create this weeks cards I fell in love with the cute little diaper so I had to use it again. This time I paired it with a sentiment from a very versatile sentiment set, Papertrey Ink's Celebrations Stamp Set.

Baby Week Day 3

Baby Week Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of Baby week here at Sunny with a Chance of crafting. If you missed Day 1 you can find it here.

 

Today I made another set for a boy or a girl and personally this is my favorite of all the baby cards I have ever made. But I would make one slight tweak.

 

When I made the background I went through all of my stamps set to see if there was any other sentiments that would work. Now if I was creating this card for me to give with a gift to one of my friends I might have used any number of the sentiment from the PTI Ad Sense set. I thought it would be so funny to have all the little diapers lined up with fresh daily or filled with 100% love stamped on the vellum. But since I will be sellling these I thought it would be best to go with Congrats.

Hello readers I have a little something different for you this week. I have lined up a week of baby cards since there are a couple of co-workers expecting babies in the next few weeks.

Congrats Baby Boy

Today I have a baby boy card to share.  It seems that everyone is having little boys so you might see a few of these in the next few months. Truth be told, I find this Papertrey Ink's Bundle of Love set a bit tricky to work with.  Lets just say I stamped the stork with baby image a couple of times with different blankets and didn't really like the look. In the end I colored it using colored pencils.

Today I have a baby card I made using the Clear and Simple Taglines: Little Critters set. Since the tagline set has two size of critters you could make a baby and mama card with any of the critters.  I think I might be doing a set with each in the future. And I think I love the PTI Woodgrain impression plate used on all the colors of the rainbow.

Baby Girl Bundle of Joy

Today I have the baby girl card I made to even out my baby card stash.  It didn’t turn out quite like I was planning and a bit crooked to boot but it is finished.  I was a bit short on time to finish it or I would have ripped everything off and re did it to make it straight (I still might). Oh well, that is life with boys, everything is full speed ahead.

Baby Boy Bundle of Joy

Today’s card is a baby card I made to replenish my stash.  When my first son was born I made up 4-5 baby boy cards with the left over scraps from the scrapbook pages I made for him at the time.  He is now five and I have finally used up all of those baby cards.  I didn’t think it would take this long but everyone I knew that was having a baby ended up with a girl.  Seriously, boys were few and far between.
