Life

Well, the non-crafting mood has continued.  See it all started out last Monday with my youngest being sick, he became quite a mama’s boy.  All he wanted was to be held and he is 30 pounds so I sat on the couch to hold him all day, but now he is feeling better and was running around the house with his older brother this weekend . But now I’m sick. Even though this weekend was not much fun due to sinuses, I was able to work on a few digi pages.  I will have them ready to share tomorrow.

No Crafting Mood

Sorry it has been a while since I posted any thing new.  I have not been in a mood to stamp but I'm sure that will change since some Papertrey goodies are scheduled to arrive today on my doorstep.  But I already have a busy weekend planned.  So we'll see if I create any thing. See you soon.

Celebrate Today

Today I have a card that I made after seeing this one that Nichole Heady made for the September release. I loved the simplicity of it.

But since I didn't have this stamp set I decided to use the cupcake collection. And here is how it turned out.

Fly away with me

Today I have another card using those cute clouds from PTI Up, Up and Away set.  I’m just in love with those clouds, I’m sure you will see more of them.  Today I have paired them with three kites. To create the clouds in the background I inked it up then stamped it on a scratch piece of paper and then on the card to create the soft/vintage look I was going for. I also did that with the sentiment. To also get the soft/vintage look I inked the card and all of the edges of the cardstock with a brown ink.

Here is a closer look at the detail.

Thanks for the Lift

Today I have a thank you card I created. This was created to work towards my goal of being published this year.  I submitted to CARDS but have heard nothing so I guess it wasn't picked up. Oh well, it wouldn't be a goal if I didn't have to work for it, right? I really liked this one and thought it turned out really cool.

Back to Crafting

Sorry for the long absence from the blog but the husband and I were working to finish off the small projects on our “To do” list. But now it is back to our regular schedule so I should be back to blogging mostly Monday through Friday.

So to start of the New Year I wanted to start working on some Valentine type cards.  With two boys I don’t usually get to pull out the pink cardstock much, I surprised I have any. (Oh yeah purchased before I had kids) Since I only currently have one Valentine set (Papertrey Tiny Treats) but not enough copics to make it work I thought I would use a different set that has not gotten a lot of love.  So here is what I came up with.

Here is a close up of the detail
